And this is a throwback bike, capturing the spirit of the café racer scene of the 1950s and 60s with a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. It takes you back to a time when motorcycling was about making a statement. The sculpted tank and tucked-in riding position are hallmarks of a traditional café racer, making this bike perfect for carving up the back roads or roaring through the city. The air/oil-cooled parallel twin configuration was chosen for its authentic uncluttered lines, and the 648cc engine is built for real world riding, with sufficient power to take on city traffic or cruise on the open road. A twin throttle-body paired to a Bosch fuel injection system results in excellent throttle response throughout the rev range. It also features a six-speed gearbox, especially developed for the 650 Twin with carefully selected gear ratios to deliver the best blend for all riding conditions. The gearbox is augmented by a slipper clutch which has an assist feature for light lever feel.
